Benedict Morelli’s Successful Law Career

Benedict Morelli was admitted to the bar after taking his exam in 1977 to become a partner in a personal injury law firm. He completed his degree at New York Law School in 1971. After working as a senior partner in a personal injury law firm since 1990 for some years, he then worked at the United States Supreme Court, the U.S. District Courts, and the Northern Districts of New York.

Mr. Morelli dissolved his firm in 1998 as the senior partner and started Benedict P. Morelli & Associates. The law firm was later renamed Morelli Law Firm. In the new company, Mr. Morelli has represented clients with cases involving Employment Discrimination cases that included age discrimination, racial discrimination, and sexual harassment. Other cases include civil rights, complex product liability, false arrests, and labor law among others. In many of these cases, Mr. Morelli represented his clients and resulted in multi-million dollar verdicts paid by major corporations to the victims affected.

One of the well-known cases was the $40 million case verdict in 1995 that was featured by National Law Journal having appeared in the Top Ten Verdicts list. Another popular case involved a person who tripped and fell over to a raised door saddle and broke his hip. The injury case was settled for $2.6 million. Other cases that Mr. Morelli have won involved medical malpractice and one of the largest verdict that involved arm injuries.

Mr. Morelli is listed as one of the best lawyers in the United States continuously from 1997 to-date. He was once selected by the New York State Trial Lawyers Association as one of the New York's "Superstars." He was regularly featured in a Television show "Power of Attorney" and appeared as the guest on "Aaron Brown," "Good Morning America," and "The View" shows. Mr. Morelli's company currently represents hundreds of plaintiffs in the ongoing BP Oil Spill case.
